Q. Do we have to bring our own linen?
A. No - All linen including towels is provided.
Q. Do we have to bring our Firewood ?
A. No - But if you could bring some kindling and a pack of wood obtainable from most service stations it would be greatly appreciated.
Q. How far are you from Anna's Restaurant ?
A. We are a ONE minute drive or a 10-15 minute walk from Anna's.
Q. How far are you from the Stanthorpe shops ?
A. We are TWO minutes drive or a 15-20 minute walk from the main shopping centre.
Q. Where are you in relation to the wineries ?
A. With few exceptions most wineries are located to the south of us. Some are as close as 5 minutes drive.
Q. Do we need to bring breakfast ?
A. We supply rolled oats, wheat bix ,sugar, tea and coffee
Q. Do you supply milk ?
A. No - because of the vast range of milks and personal preferences we ask you to bring your own.
Q. Do you supply soap or shampoo ?
No - please bring your own.
Q. What clothes do we need to bring?
A. Regardless of the time of year - when visiting Stanthorpe bring a jumper and a pair of long pants or stockings.In winter we recommend that you wear layers of clothing rather than one heavy jacket.
Q. Can you arrange tours for us ?
A. Yes. There are several tour operators in Stanthorpe.For one or two couples we recommend Choice Tours, and a stay-tour package can be arranged.
Q. We are staying for a week - where can we wash our clothes ?
A. There is a laundromat in Stanthorpe in Railway St up the hill from the Post Office.
Q. Are there markets in Stanthorpe ?
Yes - frequency is as follows (subject to change)
- Wallangarra Railway Markets - 1st Sunday of the Month
- Wallangarra (30 mins south)
- Markets in the Mountains - 2nd Sunday of the Month
- Stanthorpe Civic Centre
- Farmers Markets - 3rd Sunday of the Month
- Stanthorpe Cold Stores (2 minute walk)
Q. When are the Stanthorpe Shops open?
A. Most shops operate 9-5 Mon-Fri and 9-12 Saturdays. However there is a Supa IGA that opens from 9am to 9pm, 7 days a week and Woolworths is open from 9am to 9pm weekdays, and 9am to 4pm on Saturdays.
